There’s an old adage thrown around saying “ In cyberspace, there’s no such thing as 100% secured network”. While that might be true, it still best to secure your network or in this case your router’s access from an unscrupulous individual. It might not be a 100% fool proof solution but it offers a layer of security that would make bad guys think twice or even consider that overriding such security is not worth the trouble and therefore leave your network/router in peace. So let's get started!
Go to ADMINISTRATION

Scroll down to the lower part of the page and you will see ADMIN RESTRICTIONS. Put a tick mark on ENABLE AT STARTUP, leave the port number as it is, then at the ALLOWED REMOTE IP ADDRESS section write the IP Address of the computer that you use to access your Tomato GUI or Admin page (ex. 192.168.1.1) if you leave it blank, you can access your router's Admin page on any computer/device inside your network. Then key in your password and hit SAVE, your tomato router is now secured.
